It only took them seven years after their breakup to reach this plateau, but the Dismemberment Plan are
finally hip. Not merely hip, actually. In 2011 they are, in the words that Charlie Murphy used to describe Travis Morrison's
hero Prince ca. 1984, THE SHIT. I didn't take many pictures this time around as I did in 2007, but there were many more cameras
capturing the action, including my friend Alison, whose picture here captures the glory pretty well. Look at Travis! Just look at him!
I couldn't think of a better band to whom this could happen. DC has as good of a musical legacy of any city in
America, and the Plan could very well be the best the city's ever generated. Yes, I've thought about it. Here is a video that
somebody shot of them playing "The Ice of Boston" on Sunday night. Bonus points for anyone who can spot me.
